How to prepare and play
- Enter at least 16 different words or short phrases. Use more than 16 if you want cards to contain different selections as well as different layouts.
- Keep the 4×4 grid selected. All 16 squares are playable; there is no single centre square to mark free.
- Download the PDF and give each player a card. Copy your word list for the caller, or cut the words into slips and draw them from a bowl.
- Call one word at a time. Players mark matching squares. Agree before playing whether four in a row, column or diagonal wins; use all 16 squares for a longer game.
Print a test page on A4 or US Letter before printing the full set. For larger groups, packs of 50, 100 or 200 cards are available in the generator.
