How to prepare and play

  1. Replace prompts that do not fit your gathering. Keep references friendly and recognisable to guests of different ages.
  2. Print one card per player and hand out pencils. The centre square is free; mark it before starting.
  3. Play observation bingo: mark a square when its moment happens. Five squares in a row, column or diagonal wins. Ask the winner to describe the moments before awarding a prize.
  4. For an icebreaker variation, replace the prompts with facts such as “has lived abroad” or “plays an instrument”. Ask guests to find a relative who matches each square and write their name.

Print a test page on A4 or US Letter before printing the full set. For larger groups, packs of 50, 100 or 200 cards are available in the generator.
